All our temporary works designs and consultation services are provided in accordance with the relevant recommendations and regulations, ensuring all access structures, shoring, falsework, formwork, shuttering, piling, retaining structures, edge protection etc. are fit for purpose and are justified with the relevant calculations.

All our design proposals are issued in the form of professional drawings, clearly highlighting all relevant information including dimensions, loadings, imposed loadings, load capacities, details of ties, connections, beam sizes, edge protection, hoarding, supplementary couplers, support/propping details, spurs, puncheons, cantilevers and all relevant information which results in a product that is easy to follow and covers all necessary information without congesting the drawing and creating information overload.

At S D Services Group, we provide all of our Temporary Works services to all sectors and all sizes of projects are undertaken. We always provide the same standard of professionalism and diligence regardless of any sector or project size. Geographically, although we are primarily based in the South Coast of the UK, in this current technological world, we are able to carry out our Permanent Design services remotely in many cases and this increases our service area to almost anywhere in the world.

We provide a comprehensive consultation services which offers a friendly, approachable, easy to understand, explanation to all queries or concerns any of our clients have. Providing advice, justification and referencing to all relevant codes of practice and regulations. Prioritising layman speak over scientific/engineering jargon, ensuring all consultation is understood at a fundamental level.

An additional aspect to our consultation and checking services, is our coordination service. We provide designs and appraisals for site set up, such as lifting plans, hoarding, hoist bases, welfare areas, storage racks, hardstanding areas, access ramps etc. ensuring the TWC roles on all CDM sites are optimised, aided, advised and ultimately checked to maintain the highest level of professionalism.

In addition to providing our own design proposals, we also carry out external checks for other proposed designs, if and when required, for a variety of different sectors and applications. This independent service is invaluable for ensuring complicated temporary works structures are rigorously analysed by an unbiased qualified engineer in accordance with British and European Standards. 

With all design proposals issued or checked by us, we also provide the service and aftercare option to ensure that any construction is fit for purpose and has been constructed in accordance with the design that has been issued. This is carried out in the form of an Approval Certificate, a Permit to Load or a Professional Report, all signed by a qualified competent person or an Engineer, if and when required to comply to British and European Standards and all other relevant regulations/legislation.
